About Me
I help health technology companies, investors, and innovation programmes understand whether what they're building could actually be adopted, who else is doing it, who might buy it and what's in the way.
My background is in strategy, M&A, and venture capital. I've spent 20+ years in investment banking and private equity backed businesses, including executing 40+ acquisitions. I now apply that commercial assessment lens to health innovation complemented by my governance experience in NHS commissioning and 19 years living with Type 1 diabetes.
I treat my lived experience as professional expertise, not a personal story. I've used diabetes technology every day for 19 years, I've co-authored international clinical guidelines and led patient involvement in research.
I've developed a proprietary adoption risk framework that I use to assess health innovations for companies, investors and innovation programmes.
In 2026 I launched the Demand Side newsletter on Substack and I've been writing the Type 1 diabetes blog Pumps & Pricks since 2018. I'm based in Exeter and work with teams across the UK and beyond.
